LUCID

.....the Epoch violins sounded absolutely fabulous.

"LUCID played at the Spiegeltent on the weekend. It was a full house...and the gig went brilliantly...very much due to the fact that the Epoch violins sounded absolutely fabulous. We had about 10 people come up afterwards and ask about them." - email from Elizabeth on 13 November 2001.

LUCID, one of the most inspiring and innovative bands to come out of Melbourne, is turning heads and winning fans at every performance.

They began playing and recording as a band only in early 2001.

After recording a demo CD late in 2000, they released several songs onto an EP for promotion of the band. Through this they have managed to garner radio and television exposure as well as local gigs and interstate tours.

Without question, the band's appeal comes from the startling performances of Elizabeth Moran and Louise McCarthy, both classically trained violinists with extensive touring and teaching already in their portfolio.

Elizabeth plays the pink Epoch electric violin and Louise plays the green Epoch.

Both are excited about the relationship with the Epoch Violin, from the point of view that it is, after all, a dynamic new Australian made instrument featuring new technology, and, the vibrant colours and sound provides them with a new edge to their stage performances.
