Epoch Strings Program for Schools
For all Australian schools with an expanding strings program, Epoch Musical Instruments has the solution. The Epoch Strings Program for Schools is a perfect way to enhance your string program, students' learning abilities and renew the fun and enjoyment of live prformance.
Why Epoch instruments?
The music rooms in schools around Australia are littered with broken violins and instruments that, quite simply, are not worth repairing because they were cheap learning instruments in the first place.
More and more teachers are being forced by budget constraints to conduct their own maintenance and repairs, for which they are not qualified. Long term sustainability of music programs in schools demands solutions to instrument management down-time.
Epoch instruments are the direct result of a challenge to produce a low cost instrument which looks good, sounds good and can withstand the pressures and abuse of a modern school environment. They are -
- Fun and easy to play
- Very robust
- Sweet to the ear
- Low cost and easy maintenance
- Traditional and vibrant colours
- Stable tuning in all conditions
- An economically sound and low cost investment

Teachers who have tried the Epoch are impressed
I teach lots of lots of young kids from around the age of about seven or eight and of course I’ve always got the problem of necks coming adrift because they drop the violin. Cracks occur, seams come apart because of glues but with the Epoch and its construction there aren't any issues.
Dave Maddick, String Teacher
If an instrument feels good, it will make you sound good and you’ll want to play it. Now as a teacher that’s what I want all my students to be able to do, I want them to want to play, want to practice, want them to feel good about the instruments they are playing on and the Epoch violin does that. A regular violin will do that too but them they will pay thousands of dollars to get that quality. If I say to them that this violin is worth seven or eight hundred dollars and they go buy a regular violin for that price, I’m afraid they won’t really get the same quality that they get from the Epoch, so I’m a great supporter of Epoch.
